The way we have done this is not an usual way: We bought a horse drawn carriage and two horses and went away. But, maybe we going to fast now: We are John and Thea Verhoeckx a Dutch couple 48 and 46 years "old", Together we have five children, all grown up and living their own lives. Three years ago it was time for us to an overhaul evaluation of our life and future. The outcome: A totally change of live, future, envoriment and an urge to follow our dreams". We decided to go for an exciting journey with our horses and carriage. A journey to break out of the routine and start living our dreams!

Run the risk by making the first step! You just would not believe it!When people first hear about our story, they have many questions. We had the same questions when we first started talking about beginning this adventure. The first steps and beyond Even if you never plan to do a journey like this we want to let you know one thing: It's possible to change your life. Both we had a busy agenda, with responsibilitys, two cars, two cellphones and a house with a mortgage. At night we could wake up, saying how happy we where but also with desires to look behind our horizon. In our e-book we share our first thoughts, ideas and possible answers. After brainstorming and talking over and over again we came up with the following dream: A Horse Drawn Carriage Journey through Europe It took us several attempts to accomplish this horse drawn carriage journey, and do you know what, it has all been worth it! We have made many mistakes; some were serious (like buying an old gypsy van); while others were just plain hilarious. We don’t regret a single one of them. All of the lessons that we have learned were experiences, helping us to manage our new lifestyle and to enjoy our adventure together. This digital book is all about the preparations that we have made prior to us being able to take the reign into our hands, and before our horses were able to take their first steps. We want to take you with us, from the initial idea, to the first evening that we stay upon the riverbanks of the Danube with a glass of wine in our hand, to observing the horses grazing behind their fence. What a cheerful day, and what a cheerful journey! Website and E-Book From the start we documented every step. Initial to let kids and family know where we are and what we do. To our surprise the amount of readers growth and growth, the insights and adventures we write about obvious appealing to many visitors. The amount of interested visitors is one of the reasons we have collected all our story's in one printable document. Second reason: we had now the chance to systemize our knowledge more completly and share it in a more comprehensive way than the website can do.
